We had a million and five adventures
this week. We started it off by running into a random man at the park working
on the pipeline because something was backed up and we asked if there was
anything we could do to help and he put us to work in the bathroom! So we got
to clean a bathroom in the park.. hahaha then when we left there we found a man
who is biking from New Orleans to San Francisco!! He was so cool! He had just
come up from Kingman Arizona that morning and it was only like 12 in the
afternoon... I would have died..
We took our investigator George on
a church tour and it was awesome. He seemed so much more comfortable with
everything because he was now familiar with some of the members and with the
building. He also went to one of our members cinco de mayo parties! It's so cool
how much the members here just take in our investigators and make them part of
the family!

We also found this awesome couple!
Lance and Robin! Lance is an RM but he has been less active for a while because
he works on Sundays. So we ran into Lance on our way back to our car when we
were in his apartment complex and he was excited to see us and talk to us! Then
the next day we street contacted his girlfriend and we were talking to her and
she was saying how weird it was because her and her boyfriend were just talking
about the church! Then Lance came around the corner and saw us. He threw his
arms in the air and yelled "YEEES!!!" It was seriously so cute and
made all of us laugh.. haha but now she is planning on getting baptized next
month and we are so excited for her!
Then I had an unexpected baptism
in Boulder City! This ladies name is Brenda and I met her when we went down to
searchlight to try and find people there to teach and she was the only one we
really found and started teaching regularly!
Well, she got baptized on Saturday
and I only found out by chance on Friday! It was such a blessing to be able to
go back there and see her and so many other people from that ward!
I hope you all have a wonderful
week and happy Mother's Day to all of those amazing mothers!
Love,
Sister Eliza Hopper
