So funny story... I'm kind of training again! But Sister Larson is actually training.. we are going to be in another trio!! I get to stay with Sister Larson for the rest of my mission! And she's going to be a mom! So exciting! She's a little scared but she is going to do amazing and that new sister is going to LOVE her!

This week Mindy got baptized! The highlight of my week! It was one of the most spiritual baptisms I've ever been to and Coltyn did an amazing job baptizing her. They are such a happy little family and I love it.

Other than that it's getting close to about 120° here.. so we are kind of dying. And those poor new missionaries are coming at the perfect time.... haha

Basically this week we got to see some of our favorite people and I got to play with lots of animals and baby Wesley :) she fell asleep while we were in the car with her and she would not let go of my hand! It was adorable :)

I love seeing families come together through the gospel :) they are so excited to go to the temple together and to have these blessings for their baby!

Hope you're all doing great! Love you!

Can I just say that I love the people here?
I love everyone!
They are amazing!

On Wednesday we got to see Mindy and Wesley :) She took us out to lunch at The District and got to eat at Rachel's Kitchen (Mindy's favorite place). Mindy is getting baptized on Saturday by her husband Coltyn! They just had their baby girl Wesley and they are looking forward to getting sealed in the temple in a year :) Coltyn was less active for like 14 years and now has been coming to church the last few months and he really has one of the strongest testimonies I've ever heard.

Also last Sunday Mindy got up and bore her testimony! I wish we could have gotten a picture of Coltyn's face because it was hilarious. Non of us were expecting it but she got up there and then made all of us cry. I love her and her little family so much!
We got to have dinner with the Soifua family this week and the girls took a selfie with us :) those girls are amazing :)

On Wednesday WE GOT A NEW CAR! Well kinda.. it's a 2016 so it's been here for a while but it's really nice! And the AC works! So that is a HUGE blessing right now. It's about to get hot.
My cute daughter

Then I got to go on exchanges with my lovely Sister Vandervelde :) we had a lot of fun and we were able to find two new investigators on our exchange! Which in their area is super hard because it's mostly populated with Members and literally everyone has talked to the missionaries before. But despite that there are always people out there who are searching for the gospel. You just have to find them!

Speaking of finding people to teach, we have been doing something really cool with our members during dinner appointments. So the little blue Book of Mormons that we pass out every day have something interesting in them. In the very back there's about 15 blank pages. Have you ever wondered what those were for?

Welllll..... we decided that they are for us to write and share our testimonies! They might be another reason for it but what we have come up with I like so I'm going with that.
We have been leaving every family with a Book of Mormon so that they can all write in the back of it and share their testimony of the restored gospel and the Book of Mormon. They can either give it to a neighbor or give it back to us and we will give it to one of their neighbors. That way we can tell people that the testimony of their neighbors is in that book. So I think we all need to use those pages to share our testimony with our neighbors :)

We finally got our zone picture from zone conference last week!

The church is so true! My testimony of that grows more and more every day! The happiest I've ever been is when I'm sharing the gospel. I absolutely love it :)

Have a wonderful week everyone! Love you!

Don't get me wrong I miss you all...but I might miss Vegas more when I leave... I love this place!
It's starting to be in the 100s here and it's not too bad.. never thought I would say that haha we are finding ways to deal with it! Sprinklers are our best friend right now and so are water bottles with the little misty attachment..
we had a lot of success this week! And I got to go back to BC for a baptism!! I got to see Tori! She's amazing and such a blessing to everyone around her! And I got to see some really cool members too :)

Sorry this is super short but I love you all! Here's some pictures! :D

We found some really awesome people this week and had some amazing members out with us! Also have I mentioned how much I LOVE MY COMPANION!? She is honestly so amazing and makes every day so much fun. She's an amazing missionary and I'm excited to see how the rest of her mission goes!

The week started a little slow because I had to go to a doctors appointment but we got to drive through my old area in Paradise! So that was a blessing and then the week went SUPER fast. We got to go have pizza with our investigator Faith and the Roderick girls came with us! They are amazing and so willing to help out! We had a blast and Faith is really starting to warm up to the ward!

Then that night we went and saw our investigator George who had just broken his finger so he was a little out of it. But as a result of our visit we got some cool sunglasses! He's awesome haha.

We were able to go to breakfast with our other investigator Ulysses!

He was outside our apartment painting the curb when we met him and he said he was looking for a church! We asked if we could meet with him and he said he really liked breakfast so he wanted to meet us somewhere. So we went to IHOP! The people here really are amazing and we have lots of fun with them.

On Friday we had an extra sister with us because some of the old missionaries from our mission came and spent the day with us! We had Sister Gonzalez with us for the day and it was so much fun!

Right after we picked her up we found a girl named Savannah and she was so excited to hear about our message. Sister Larsen has been really good at asking people if we can take a picture with them so we have been getting pictures with some of the amazing people we have been meeting!

Then today we met another amazing person! Her name was Christina and Sister Larsen really liked her windshield thing so we stopped and talked to her and she was really nice! We found out she doesn't live in our area so we had to pass her off but it was a blessing to meet her!
I think the most amazing thing that happened this week was with a girl named Emily that we met a couple weeks ago. We had to reschedule a couple times but we finally got to sit down and talk to her this week.
Her family is Catholic so thats kinda what she has been calling herself. We started talking to her about the restoration and when we talked about Joseph Smith's first vision she looked up at us and said "That's beautiful!" She loved it! She's about 13 so it was so cool to see such a young girl be so interested. We talked to her about being baptized and she said yes! Then she asked us a question about how to become a better person. We talked to her about repentance and she said she had never heard of it. How amazing is it that we are able to share such simple truths that can change peoples lives! She was so excited to see a change in her life and to find out more about the restored gospel.

Last night at dinner one of the sisters in the ward asked me what my favorite part of my mission has been since I'm getting ready to go home. I told her that it was the change that I have seen in those around me and in myself. The gospel Truly does change lives and makes people happy. I've never seen something so powerful in my life.

I love sharing it with beautiful Las Vegas! Okay Vegas isn't that beautiful.. But it is because of why I'm here! It's still the desert... hahah

Well I hope you all have a wonderful day! I love you all!
Love,

Sister Eliza Hopper
